Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Chicago Opens First Regional Office on South Side

We are thrilled to announce that we have opened the first of our satellite offices in on the South Side of Chicago in Englewood. The new office on the corner of 63rd and Halsted will be a much-needed presence in a community where the majority of our waitlisted youth reside.

That presence will bring greater awareness, helping build stronger partnerships with local organizations and assist BBBSMC as we recruit more potential volunteers who are looking to make a difference in their neighborhoods.

Our office opening was featured by the following local press.

Meet one of the first matches we made:

9-year-old Kyley was recently enrolled in the program so that she could see and experience more than just her neighborhood. Living in Englewood, her mother is fearful of Kyley and her siblings going outside. As a single parent, she wishes she could have more free time to take them out to explore, try new activities and just be kids.

Kyley was recently matched with Carlysha, who is no stranger to Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a former Little from the same neighborhood, Carlysha will now have the opportunity to show her Little Sister the world outside of Englewood.
